Survival 2007

What is Survival? it is a very powerful 3-day/2-night event that is filled with fun challenges and lots of mememorable times. Not only will those playing this 3-day game be directly impacted, but countless throughout the world will also.  How? you might ask.  Well, all monies raised outside the general $50 registration fee will be completely given to Speed the Light, which helps support missionaries overseas physically bring the Gospel to those who have never heard it.

Survivors will be divided into tribes, in which they, for the 3 days will be living, eating, and surviving together as a team.  They will complete physical/mental/spiritual challenges together, earning points for their tribe.  They will experience Tribal Council, meet real missionaries, and at the end, one tribe will be crowned Survival champions!!!

When is Survival?  it is October 5th, 6th, & 7th (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday).

How does Survival work?  $50 will get you into the game with the clothes on your back, a flashlight, and a sleeping bag (which you will be responsible to bring).  You will be given a bottle of water.  The $50 will also guarantee you all your meals, a tent to sleep in, and all fees for the licensed obstacle course.  The rest of the money that you will raise can be directed toward the Survival General Store, where you will be able to buy different things to possibly make your experience a more comfortable one.  The items will be as follows:

For youth group on Sunday, August 19th, we will be having a special guest come and speak.  Pastor Chris Kennedy is an actual missionary to Rowan University, a well-known college located in Glassboro, NJ.  He works with Chi Alpha, a program created to reach college students for Jesus.  Him and his family began ministering as Campus Pastors in June 2002.  You can read more about him and his ministry at www.rowanchialpha.org.  Though college might be far away for some of us, it is really awesome to think even now of the impact we could one day have on an entire campus.  So, come out and be blessed!!!
